PRODUCTIVITY & ENTERPRISE FEEDBACK MANAGEMENT

Activity Analysis

Linking problems to their causes gets you to a faster and more focused resolution. Periodic snapshots of detailed activities occurring in your organization give you a new level of intelligence into financial decisions, improvement projects, solutions, and results:
  • Staff Productivity – shows you how your staff are really spending their time vs. generalized time reporting or cost centers
  • Team Productivity – highlights where teams are spinning their wheels on unproductive activities
  • Department Productivity - locates hidden, redundant or costly work activities and quickly identifies highest ROI opportunities for automation, process re-design, and training
  • Span-of-Control – provides a staffing baseline for a department and maximizes staffing levels
  • Internal Best Practices and Merger Integration – compares activity and process costs between individuals, teams, process, branches or any selected group
  • Drive Continuous Improvement – measures ongoing activity value, ROI, best practices and work cycle management
  • Fast Data Collection –accelerates other methodologies such as 6 Sigma, work-flow development, and requirements analysis
Our success stories, sample reports and white paper provide additional insight into the results our clients have achieved. You can take a sample assessment and discuss it with one of our professionals. We can also conduct “pilot assessments” to demonstrate successful results in your organization.

STANDARD ACTIVITY ANALYSIS DESCRIPTIONS:
- Activity Analysis consolidates and quantifies a wide range of detailed activities, performed by each individual in an organization. This quick and repeatable analysis provides new information on where people are spending their time, and consolidates information on overall department productivity. The Activity Reports identify who is providing the high value actions and where the focus on key activities may be diluted or repeated by other departments. The analysis allows you to summarize how much time is being spent on activities by individual, process, department or region (which you can define or group).
- Reducing Low Value Work - For example, if your organization feels that the task of maintaining the copy machines is a “low value” activity, you can identify across your organization how much time is being spent on this activity. This helps you to make decisions such as where automation, or in this case perhaps equipment improvements, training or outsourcing is needed. This information allows you to quickly evaluate what the impact would be on reallocating these low value activities. By repeating the activity survey, you can measure the actual ROI impact on how time is spent, or re-allocated after the improvements are implemented.
- Best Practices can be identified by comparing similar processes across the organization. The differences identified between similar processes can benchmark internal best practices, different levels of use of technology, or other variances that can help you identify on-going improvement opportunities. By running the Team Productivity analysis and Skill and Recruiting analysis, you can find variances in training or work style that indentifies additional solutions for improvement.

VerityView™ has provided our clients with significant cost and time savings in data gathering to support their business analysis initiatives and methodologies (such as 6 Sigma, requirements development, work flow design, re-organization and training needs analysis). In addition, our automated system allows you to repeat the analysis as often as required to measure improvement without extensive or manual re-analysis.
